Jody is a molecular biologist, with nearly 20 years of research experience and graduate degrees in both plant and animal systems. Her work has led to the publication of over 20 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters. From a business perspective, Jody's work at a multi-national, public corporation, as well as two start-up companies, has afforded her significant, invaluable experience with the alignment of innovation and applied research. Jody's agricultural experience was gained during her most recent position at API Labs. Here, she was responsible for managing the introduction and establishment of a novel, pharmaceutical crop to Southern Alberta.
